Tabbed by: Matrigan
Bear with me people, this is my first time doing tabs or chords or something like
that, but, they sound right to me. The pattern of the chords for the intro might be a
little hard to pick up for some people, so I've written it out so that each time the
chord is written, it represents one beat of a measure in this four bar chord
progression. The verse is the same pattern, but I won't write out each beat again.
Intro: Gm Gm Gm, Am, Bb Bb Bb, C, Dm Dm Dm Dm, C C, Am Am (x2)
Gm Am Bb
Vesuvius
C Dm
I am here
C Am Gm
You are all I have
Am Bb
Fire of fire
C Dm
I'm insecure
C
For it is all
Am Gm
Been made to plan
Am Bb
Though I know
C Dm
I will fail
C
I cannot
Am Gm
Be made to laugh
Am Bb
For in life
C Dm
As in death
C
I'd rather be burned
Am Gm
Than be living in debt
(Be careful, the pattern changes slightly here, not the chords, but the way they're played. Just strum along with the "la"s of the vocals and you'll be fine. After that, it goes back to the regular verse patterns.)
Gm Am Bb C Dm C Am
La. La la. La la. La. La. (x2)
Gm Am Bb
Vesuvius
C Dm
Are you ghost
C
Or the symbols of light
Am Gm
Or a fantasy host?
Am Bb
In your breast
C Dm
I carry the form
C
The heart of the Earth
Am Gm
And the weapons of warmth
(The rest of the song basically switches off between these two patterns of the same
chord progression, and it's not too difficult to discern which pattern is which.)
