Tabbed by: Purple 99er

I have seen a lot of tabs and versions out there, but a cover posted by alexandramcd on youtube sounds far better than anything
else I've seen, including the nice one posted on this site, which helped me with the basic progression (thanks). Give this talented
girl the credit, though, as I based this version on the chords she plays in the beginning of the video.

Note: Run the bass notes on the "miles, miles, miles" part. Also, you will hit the 4 note on the Am shape sometimes. Just give a
listen.

Standard Tuning
Capo 6

I'm not going to transcribe how many times to play each lick. Listen to the song or play along and you'll get it.

Lick 1 (C) Lick 2-3 Lick 4

(C) (Am&G) (F)

G------0-4-----0--0-4-----0-4-

C Am G
someway, baby, it's part of me, apart from me"
Am F
You're laying waste to Halloween
C Am G
You fucked it friend, it's on it's head, it struck the street
Am F
You're in Milwaukee, off your feet
F
... and at once I knew I was not magnificent
Am-G
F
Strayed above the highway aisle
Am-G
F
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
Am-G G F C
I could see for miles, miles, miles

3rd and Lake it burnt away, the hallway
Was where we learned to celebrate
Automatic bought the years you'd talk for me
That night you played me 'Lip Parade'
Not the needle, nor the thread, the lost decree
Saying nothing, that's enough for me

... and at once I knew I was not magnificent
Hulled far from the highway aisle
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
I could see for miles, miles, miles

Christmas night, it clutched the light, the hallow bright
Above my brother, I entangled spines
We smoked the screen to make it what it was to be
Now to know it my memory:

... and at once I knew I was not magnificent.
High above the highway aisle
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
I could see for miles, miles, miles
